Infernal Tower is a Fire based Dual Element tower that continues attacking its target even if the target has left the towers range. As such, it's typically considered necessary to leave "focus on" to ensure the tower is maximizing its passive. You can also select a tower and right click a creep to manually target, so that when something such as a Elemental Boss is in the towers range, you ensure the infernal attacks and continues to attack the boss until it dies.
